Problems with the CRV Home Page

I use Netscape as my personal web browser, but I also have Emissary and Mosaic on my system. I write the pages for best viewing, which at the present time, means to be viewed with Netscape. A recent study by the members of the HTML Writers' Guild, of which I am a member, shows that over 60% of the people on the net today use Netscape in one version or another. I therefore tend to design the pages for best viewing on Netscape. However, knowing that not all browsers have the same capabilities, I also check each page on Emissary and Mosaic to see how the page will look on those browsers.

To date, I have struggled to find a background pattern which does not "trash" the screen on any browsers. The only screen I can find is one which has no background graphics, no color, and no tint. The same problem continues to exist with the font. I am presently using FONT SIZE=+2 for the headlines, and either FONT SIZE=-1 or regular sized font with the BOLD feature on.

If you have any problems with the page's readability, I would like to know about it. Please send me email telling what the problem is and what suggestions you have for fixing it, if any. Please also include information about the type of machine you use and your screen resolution, if you know it.

From time to time, I change the menus to point to new files. In the process, pointer links sometimes get lost. I try to check these all out, but there is a human error factor I tend to live my entire life with, so if, for some reason, one of the pointers to a file does not work for you, please notify me so I can correct it.

As the menus and pages get re-vamped, backgrounds get changed, and material gets added or deleted from the page, other problems may arise. Again, I would be very grateful if you would alert me when a problem is found.

I will do everything I can to keep the page meeting your hopes and expectations, and ask for your patience and help in doing so. Thank you for your interest in CRV. All comments, critiques, criticisms and suggestions will be grately appreciated.

Please send any problems, suggestions or comments to rviewer@atc.ameritel.net.
